This Mandela Day (18 July 2022) NPO Ladles of Love undertook to break the world record for the biggest mosaics built with tins of food across two cities – Johannesburg as well as Cape Town .
Johannesburg saw 32 040 cans of food placed on a South African flag mosaic with Cape Town seeing 56 685 cans placed on a Madiba mosaic.
The PR campaign secured 159 articles and mentions across online, print and broadcast media with 44 local and international media in attendance resulting in 41 interviews and an AVE value (advertising equivalent if you had paid for the space) of R3.1 million. Coverage was secured in key media such as France 24, Vietnam News Agency, CCTV and CGTN, The Star, City Press, The South African, Expresso Morning Show, Newzroom Afrika, RSG, Good Hope FM, Cape Talk, IOL, News24, EWN, Beeld, Die Burger, The Citizen, TimesLIVE, Sowetan Live, Good Things Guy and more.

Olam, an International leading food and agri-business, appointed The Lime Envelope to work on an event – the organisation’s annual Global Finance Meet. The 2019 event took place in the beautiful city of Cape Town where the core mission was to create an unforgettable South African experience.
The Public Relations and Events Agency handled:
- all delegates and VIP travel and accommodation arrangements,
- the bookings for international speakers,
- sourcing top quality entertainment for the week’s conference
- bringing in a five-star Indian chef to exclusively cook for the guests.
- All gifting, branding and unique collateral was sourced by the team to create memorable experiences throughout.
- An interactive App was developed for the conference, giving delegates access to key conference information, feedback forums, Q&A’s and a host of entertainment options.
The team produced a jaw dropping opening ceremony, and coordinated a successful conference stream and masterclasses.

- a Cape Carnival festival at Grand Beach and
- a unique wine experience at an exclusive wine farm.
The week’s conference was rounded off with a world class awards evening.
